*The Colorado Secretary of State charges an LLC filing fee for each LLC filed in the state regardless of who files the Articles of Organization (whether an individual or a company). This fee is required and non-negotiable. The filing fee is $50.00 for each LLC. However, the Secretary of State has temporarily dropped the fee to $1 until further notice. We pass that nearly $50 savings on to you.

** Fees based upon information from LegalZoom®.com, Rocket Lawyer™.com, and Incorporate®.com as of 10/15/11. Comparison based upon LegalZoom’s Express Gold LLC package (with 1 yr. Registered Agent service), Rocket Lawyer’s Pro Legal Plan, and Incorporate.com’s LLC Complete package (including LLC Operating Agreement option and Business License Compliance Package). Considering that none of the other 3 companies provide legal advice or document drafting by a licensed CO Attorney, the packages represented offer the only opportunity for comparison. Total Fees include the required $50.00 state filing fee. LegalZoom®.com’s Business Advantage Pro Plan is included for 30 days in the Express Gold LLC package, however, after the 30 day trial period the benefits continue automatically for 1 year at $29.99 per month ($359.88 per year) unless cancelled by the client before the 30 day trial expires. An attorney’s hourly rate will also be charged if the client needs legal advice based upon the free consultation. However, Business Advantage Pro is not available in all states. LegalZoom’s Advantage Terms of Service explains, “Legal Plans may not be accessible, in whole or in part, in all areas, and LegalZoom does not guarantee the accessibility, in whole or in part, of Legal Plans to all users”. Rocket Lawyer On Call™ Professional plans provide referrals to attorneys in their network with free consultations and 40% off of attorney billing rates (see RocketLawyer.com for complete plan details). Pricing comparison assumes 1 year of LegalZoom Business Advantage Pro or Rocket Lawyer’s Lawyer On Call™ considering that both services provide referrals to attorneys who may or may not be engaged to provide legal advice for an additional fee. RockyMountainStartup.com™ automatically provides legal advice from a licensed Colorado Attorney for each LLC client and consultations for additional legal services are always free, this year, next year, and in the future.
